I thought this was going to be another British comedy but thought I'd give it a try. WOW was I mistaken, yes, there's some comedy (after all they're British :-) ) It was actually a good detective drama. Give it a try.

New Tricks - ❤x7

This is a pretty good cop/procedural show. It's British, so it's heavier on the drama and the characters rather than flash and action.
For me, it is the shenanigans of the old codgers and the interactions between them and their boss Sandra.
I'm slowly working my way through the series a few episodes a day and am only halfway through season 7 so far.
