I love this show!! It does true justice to the slice-of-life romance genre and although it's set in a highschool, the show itself doesn't fall into the cliches of most highschool animes out there. Instead, it does an amazing job of exploring the lives of these teenagers in a mellow and nostalgic way with an undertone of anxiety about the future.
The best thing is that the characters are not flat. They have enduring traits and faults. They are treated as people rather than caricatures and the reality they live in sometimes appears to be bittersweet.
I fell in love with the art, the characters, the pacing, and above all else the story. If you're a fan of slice-of-life in any genre, give it a try! You won't be disappointed!
To quote the great Dave Wasserman, “I’ve seen enough!” After 3 episodes I can confidently score this one a 10. This will be right there with The Ice Guy for my AOTY.
This show restored my faith in humanity.
A recommendation from couchmoney.tv (shoutout), expectations were low but WOW... So heartfelt and "real", and such an amazing protagonist!
I was expecting yet another teenage romance series set in high school, and I not going to lie those elements are still present, but the delivery is just too wholesome, I can't stop smiling throughout the episodes and feeling happy for the cast when the resolution to the "conflict" of the chapter gets resolved. This anime is truly good for the soul („ᵕᴗᵕ„)
At the half of the season, it looks like the romantic plot will have more airtime, which is a shame because I am really enjoying the non-romantic relationships that we have seen so far but if it manages to keep the same air of innocence it probably won't be that bad
If I have to brief it, in an anime season full of bangers, this is a breeze of fresh air that we did not know we needed
