As with seasons 2 and 3: The Middle Season 4 causes a lot of laughs! It is maybe even at tad better than the previous two season, although it does quite reach the first season IMOH.
So overall my recommendation still stands: just give it a try, especially if you like sitcoms along the lines of "Malcolm in the Middle" or "Modern Family" and I am quite sure you wont regret it!
