The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson

The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson is an American late-night talk show hosted by Scottish American comedian Craig Ferguson, who is the third regular host of the Late Late Show franchise. It follows Late Show with David Letterman in the CBS late-night lineup, airing weekdays in the US at 12:37 a.m. It is taped in front of a live studio audience from Monday to Friday at CBS Television City in Los Angeles, California, directly above the Bob Barker Studio. It is produced by David Letterman's production company Worldwide Pants Incorporated and CBS Television Studios. Since becoming host on January 3, 2005, after Craig Kilborn and Tom Snyder, Ferguson has achieved the highest ratings since the show's inception in 1995. While the majority of the episodes focus on comedy, Ferguson has also addressed difficult subject matter, such as the deaths of his parents, and undertaken serious interviews, such as one with Desmond Tutu, which earned the show a 2009 Peabody Award.
I first came across this show back in 2013, purely by accident. I'm not from the US, so this wasn't aired where I live. I saw a couple of random episodes on YouTube and was hooked. Craig Ferguson's charisma and sense of humour has been a part of my life since then.If you are a young man, there are so many things you can learn by observing how Craig Ferguson talks to his guests, makes them feel comfortable and loosen up. The props he uses and the level of improvised dialogue is off the chart. I often wonder whether he ever had a script at all, other than the list of guests known in advance.
Unfortunately, by 2015 the "Censorship by Political Correctness" era was in full power and it's not a surprise that this show ceased to exist. It might have been deemed too risky for both the studio and the guests as well. What an absolute mess the so called "Woke" movement turned this world into. There isn't a single show today that even comes close to the level of entertainment Craig Ferguson's Late Late show provided. If you are having a bit of a bad day, watch one of the episodes, and I guarantee, it will lift your spirits up.
Even right now, in 2025, I'm watching a compilation done by the YouTuber "The Jayleno Fly"[1] which is a great channel to subscribe to if you are a fan like me. Those compilations never get old, and unlike watching full episodes, you can watch 10-20 minute clips to longer 1 hour long compilations depending on how much time you have to spend. Whoever you are, I really appreciate your work The Jayleno Fly,. Thank you!
There's also "Late Late Show w/ Craig Ferguson Archive" channel on YouTube[2] that I find good.
