It loses a bit of the impact and edge if you already know the book. But it's still a good adaptation. I think Hartnett played really well.
Harris picked up something here one should think about. It's not total science fiction. Yes, there is no true AI, yet. Beside that this is something I can see happening in the future.
It's 3 episodes of Josh Hartnett running about perplexed and then finally realizing in episode 4 why things are as they are. Then we get a stupid - and predictable ending.
The cop is annoying as hell throughout the season. Is he a modern day Columbo without the cigar? I think that's what he's trying to do, only Columbo actually solved cases.

The best I can give is Meh, 5/10
If there's something better to do like mow the grass - that's a better option.

[SkyShowtime] A thriller that never finds its way beyond a suspense that stretches on and on. It tries to say something about the dangers of AI through an algorithm that uses fear to grow, but it seems more interested in following the protagonist through the streets of Geneva in constant paranoia. The interesting main idea of Robert Harris's book is wasted and there is only an exercise in tension that provokes little tension.

I can't remember why I started watching this but I don't recommend it. Josh's acting unfortunately shows no range, and his intense "man on the brink of losing his sanity" becomes tiring to watch pretty early on. I did enjoy Arsher Ali's performance, but it wasn't nearly enough to make this a compelling show.
