went in with low expectations since every show nowadays is woke garbage and appeasing to a certain audience. I WAS BLOWN AWAY with how good this is. it's literally chef's kiss. From the atmosphere to the dialog to the setups and payoffs. I really hope it doesn't get cancelled after the first season like a lot of shows.

Now this is what good TV is all about! I was hooked from the first few minutes, what a fantastic portrayal of Penguin by Colin Farrell, and boy you've got to love that plum Masarati 😁

Can't wait to see how this plays out, for me it's a rock solid 10/10 and truly unmissable 👍

Similar to the recent Joker movie, The Penguin strips away the comic book silliness of the villain and grounds them in reality, with a complex and sometimes even relatable origin story. I can't help but cheer them on, despite them being nothing but punching bags for Batman to beat up on in the cartoons and comics.

Aside from that, this would hold its own as a top tier crime / gangster miniseries even without The Penguin branding. For me, this taking place in the Batman universe is just the cherry on the top.

The Penguin series is a gripping deep dive into the iconic Batman villain, Oswald Cobblepot, and it’s done masterfully. Known as the relentless, scheming villain from the Batman games, the Penguin has always been easy to dislike. But this series peels back his layers, giving us a raw and unexpected look at his backstory that’s eye-opening and captivating.

What sets The Penguin apart is that Batman is nowhere in sight—this is entirely Cobblepot’s story, and Colin Farrell nails it. Farrell’s portrayal captures the darkness and complexity of his character, taking you into the gritty, dangerous world of Gotham’s underworld. His transformation and the series' edgy storytelling keep you on your toes, delivering a suspenseful, character-driven experience. It’s dark, intense, and incredibly well-executed—definitely a 10/10 for me.

In _The Penguin_, we are immersed in a ruthless and depressive Gotham, a setting as bleak as its protagonist, Oswald Cobblepot, who, under _Colin Farrell’s_ masterful portrayal, reveals a surprisingly human version of the infamous villain. _Farrell_ constructs a complex and vulnerable character, leading us to empathize with his ambitions and conflicts in a way that challenges our perception of classic antagonists.

Gotham’s atmosphere is meticulously crafted, with a raw aesthetic that not only complements but amplifies the inherent darkness of Cobblepot’s story. This intimate and psychological approach allows us to explore his motivations beyond the mere criminal archetype, letting us understand his aspirations and the harshness of his circumstances.

_The Penguin_ emerges as a haunting and captivating work, perfectly executed, that adds an essential chapter to the vast universe of Gotham.

I have a classic saying: Just as every beautiful thing has an end, we have come to the end of this beautiful thing. It was an excellent production from the first to the last episode. When I first started, there's no lie, my expectations were low. It was very surprising; there were many places in the series where I was the opposite corner. The acting, effects and script were perfect. It's definitely a series that should receive awards. In the last episode, I thought that Ozz was a good person; I had sympathy for him, but the action he did to that boy in the last scene made me a little cold. That boy, what she had endured for him. When we came to the conclusion, it was added to my favorites; one of the best shows of this genre that I have watched. Health to everyone's labors. Hopefully the second season will come. 🌹 🍷 🐧

Easily a 10/10. This is how comic book characters should be treated - with intelligent scripts. Great acting from all leads, and fab sets / cinematography. CF was amazing!
