This drama is a whole-ass *experience*.

The non verbal storytelling was some of the best I've ever seen. There was so much that was said without uttering even a single word, case in point: the little, seemingly unconnected scenes at the beginning of each episode. Pay attention to them. They may seem inconsequential, but tell a whole story of their own when analyzed in the context of the ambiguous ending of the show.

So too was the case with how the passing of time was subtly but distinctly conveyed not only by the clothes the actors were wearing, but also by looking at their environment. I genuinely wonder over how long a period of time this was filmed, because the production crew *can* put actors in shorts and short sleeves in the middle of winter and pretend like they're enjoying a nice summer day, but how do you transition from bare branches, to trees in full bloom, to verdant and lush foliage to falling leaves? You can control wardrobes, but not mother nature.

I loved the OST, the plot of the drama, the cinematography and especially the main couple. They had such intense chemistry, and Se Jong in particular just blew me away with how much he could emote just by minutely changing his facial expressions. I liked him in Still 17, but he was amazing here.

> A Ordinary Take on a Unordinary Romance with an Ordinary ending !

The main problem K-industry is why do they expect celebrities to not data ? why is that a scandal amounting to financial damages ?

I loved the chemistry between the leads ; the Slice of Life nature depicted in the share house ; the emotions and harsh reality of a celebrity who faces the brunt of people love and hate while being exploited by the corporations.
I want to imagine a positive ending here that they are secretly dating after their talk in goshiwon. I dont want a bittersweet ending as there are too many shows with open endings these days. The opening credit scene shows after this ‘open’ ending, they do meet and I believe the intention is to be together and make it work.
While Suzy's acting was great as always, unfortunately, this did not help her career. I don't want to say that the story was bad because I haven't read the original material this live-action adaptation was based from. I think the problem was the execution of the live-action adaptation. It was everywhere and nowhere.

They could have had focused more in building the main character instead of showing the other relationship of the other characters, then what Doo Na's going through would be more impactful instead of lacking. You know, it's there, the audience understands what she is going through, but there is no emotional attachment to it.

The show, “Castaway Diva”, with a similar celebrity whose career ended, actually have a better introduction and background build up. Both characters want to die. Both characters were pushed to their limits. Both characters made mistakes. But there is no emotional attachment with Doo Na and there is with the other character with a parallel story. It's one thing to “know” and it is totally another to “feel”.

Watching Doo Na was like having a discussion, from a logical and objective perspective, of a celebrity's life in a classroom. They should have chosen a real-life story and created a documentary, which would be perfect for this kind of execution or production.

I actually stopped watching at episode 06. It took a few weeks before I was able to force myself to watch the last three episodes, and that's coming from a big fan of Suzy.

I love them both to the core but wtf what this poorly written screenplay? What a letdown!

the main characters lack empathy & self-awareness which makes it hard for me to relate to this drama.

I watched through episode 5 and really enjoy the story, but I had an inkling that I should look up the ending so I did and watched some of the last episode. Unfortunately, I don't like bittersweet endings, so I quit the show before getting too invested. I think these kinds of stories are great when learning about finding happiness on your own after being in a state where you felt like you needed someone else, became codependent, or otherwise found yourself stuck in life. I'm not at that point in my life anymore, so I prefer simple love stories, even if those stores involve a period of independent self-exploration. I would have liked a story where the main characters break up for several years; create their own successful, fulfilling lives; and start a relationship as better versions of their former selves. But this is not that story. I think this is hinted at pretty early on with Jin-joo. They meet again as better versions of their past selves, but because too much time has passed, they don't move forward with a relationship. We can only expect that the writer(s) intend the same fate for Doona and Won-jun; some people have called the ending open-ended, but I think the intention is quite clear.
