just crazy the beginning, it promises blood and action, great.
Loved it soo much! Everyone was weird and quirkily added character to a, quite frankly, bonkers plot, while the overall vibe I was getting reminded me of the delightfully whimsical "Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency"...
It's really brought smiles and lots of laughs when I needed them the most. I look forward to discovering maany more shows in the same vein in the future <3
I fel in love with this show immediately. Then I found out it was created by Damon Lindelhof (who did "Lost") and I was afraid i'd be disappointed at the end. My fears were unfounded. This may be the best eight hour movie I've ever seen. Nothing is predictable and everything happens for a reason and is ultimately explained. I'm watching a second time and enjoying it just as much. It has an absurd logical progression that reminds me of Monty Python and Quentin Tarantino.
i loved this show, it's a must watch for lovers of sourealist comedies, i sincerely hope a lot more shows like this happen. If you liked this i also recommend dirk gently's holistic detective agency.
You can tell the level of expertise behind crafting such a surrealist plot. It was such a pleasure seeing every single crazy piece of this show fall into place in perfect position and working at so, so many levels.
Learning from the mistakes of Lost plus keeping the insightful depths of The Leftovers, Lindelof outdid himself,
This is easily one of my favorite shows now. It's absurd, funny, and has a lot of fun twists. No description of the show can explain the vibe of this show well enough.
How is it even possible to be this creative?
Show and season 1 rated a 8.8
I was completely blindsided by this show. It's an inspired story with a cast of characters that have completely bought in.
It has shades of Raiders of the Lost Ark with a bit of Romancing the Stone thrown in for good measure. It would be hard enough to sustain this zaniness for the length of a movie, but they manage to do it for an entire season!
It really feels like a throwback adventure flick with on the nose themes from today.
Just WoW!
[HBO Max] Sometimes it struggles to unify all the myriad ideas it brings up, but it has such a unique, thoughtful, and current concept that it's even worth leaving questions unanswered. In the midst of mixture of genres, this story talks about how devotion to AI works as a representation of faith, as a substitute for divinity in terms of delivery absolute of the users/acolytes. It's a story that could not be created with tools like ChatGPT, because it has a capacity for inventiveness, irony and a playful character that claims creativity as intrinsically human.
