You know what the insane thing about this drama was? The leads had such boundless, blinding chemistry, the whole time I felt like I was legitimately watching two people fall in love. Almost always, while watching k-dramas, I can't help but be aware that I'm watching actors pretend to fall in love with their co-stars. That wasn't the case here, Jun-Ho and Yoona were so natural and genuine together, I forgot they were supposed to be playing characters and actually felt like I was intruding in a couple's private moments by watching them. I almost was tempted to look away in embarrassment when they were being all lovey-dovey. When they looked at each other, even without saying anything, it felt like they were communicating solely by the subtle changes in their expressions. It was amazing.
Other than that, this show was so cute, fluffy and fun. I smiled my way straight though it—seriously, I don't think I've ever grinned while watching a show as much as I did with this one. Sa Rang was such a lovely person inside and out, and the relationship with her BFFs was actual goals. If you told me these actresses had been friends forever, I wouldn't have doubted it for a second. Won was also a slightly different take on the chaebol heir. Yes, he was a little emotionally stunted because of his childhood trauma, but it was nice how open, honest and sincere he was in his feelings for Sa Rang since the very first moment. He fell hard and fast and it was adorable. Also adorable? His interactions with Sa Rang's grandma—
her getting all emotional and weepy when they announced they wanted to get married almost about killed me with how heartwarming it was.
.
I think the weakest part of the show was the relationship between Sa Rang's flight attendant friend and her co-worker. The spark between them was sorely lacking (especially when compared with the main couple). Also, the guy was a bit one-note with his expressions. Little emoting to be found with him.
In any case, was this drama super predictable? Yes. Was it still lovely and a great time? Also 100% yes. If you want a swoony love story that will leave you smiling like an idiot, this is the perfect choice.
stayed up until 3am to finish this. It's lighthearted and funny!!! you can guess the plot so you don't need to think.
my favorite part is how the main characters (Gu Won and Cheon Sa-rang) act like the adults they are. no unnecessary jealousy and childish insecurity in their relationship.
I am amazed how well this drama has peformed 😁 ; with such on ordinary cinderella story they managed to weave just enough suspense , thrill but load of romance and comedy courtesy all credits to its cast and their chemistry .😍
I had no expectations for this show when release on same day as See you in My 19th Life ; in which i was heavily invested due to unique plot and Queen Shin He Sun but Yoona and Jun-ho such a wonderful actors they are they choose a non-serious scripts after their sucessful shows Big Mouth and Red Sleeve and it worked .
I didn't wait for an episode each week but i enjoyed each minute of it laughed and heart throbbed but wasn't into any other emotions ; maybe this is perhaps found a right time just like Business Proposal to hit the TVs after many serious melodramas this year ; even the ones not meant to be melodramatic have awful ending recently ...
With all that said I wouldn't possibly rewatching this show like i have for other slow rom-coms like Do You Like Bhrams , When Weather is Fine , A Piece of you heart etc which are just eye leasing with the character ; while KTL has its own charm it isn't memorable as the others ; hence 8/10
need me a rich son who is better than his bum father
Loved this show. Yes it is predictable and sometime cheesy in parts, but it just works. The main leads are perfect together and the secondary couples were also perfect.
The one thing that is perfect in this drama is the casting. Not only the two leads are perfect and the chemistry between them is out of this world, but all of the actors did a awesome job. King The Land portrays very well the friendship of three adult women who've been friends for so long, their moments were some of my favorite, the trip abroad episodes were so fun! And Sa-Rang grandma is the best character, for sure. Kim Young-ok is a treasure, every drama with her becomes instantly better.
The romance was like the fairytale "enemies to lovers", I wish the enemies part lasted longer, but the lovers part was so dreamy full of awwww moments, even thought you could relate to very moments.
It was very fun with some heartbreaking moments, even thought they were not that well explored and I wish some side characters could have more screen time but it was a fun and lovely ride. The final episode was kinda predictable and the worst for sure.
It's very very very fun and lovely. Give it a watch. :)
A feel-good fluffy rom-com with good chemistry between the two leads. Not an entirely memorable show for me, certainly nothing groundbreaking, but still an enjoyable watch. I also appreciated the actual communication between the lead couple! I've grown tired of shows with plot points that develop solely because characters don't just talk to each other to clear up misunderstandings.
you can either fast forward through this show or just don't bother to start. typical romance plot with a lot a lot of product placement content and lovey dovey scenes. can easily be reduced to a 6 or 8 episode series, no development whatsoever for the ML's complex family situation
