I loved it, I cried a lot in several episodes, I couldn't believe that everything he did was because of his mother and also for his mother.
one of the best shows of the year!!!
i'll miss my Jouri family <3
One of the best kdramas so far this year! i felt all kind of emotions because of this kdrama, and i'm truly happy that i watched it.
Just finished it. One of the best dramas I watched in 2023 yet. Live a happy life Kangho<3
Legal Drama 2/10
Family Drama 💯
Although this has its legal moments ; they were the most underwhelming parts ; the family , love and emotions take it into a different high.
First we are introduced to Ra Mi-ran who lost
her parents and sibling early in road accident while going to picnic and then
her husband in a staged pig farm fire and suicide by Woo-byek . She withheld her desire for revenge moved to another village and raised her son with tough words and actions so that he would become someone who will not have the same checkered fate as per erstwhile family.
Tragedy as it is we were shown Choi Kang-ho grew up to be a cold prosecutor who is in bed with two men who were culpable for his father's demise ; ironically trying to make them father and father-in-law so much so that he would leave his love of life
and his children with her
and tried to marry another girl
> But is Kang-ho playing a long game with his nemesis and culprits responsible for his father's death
Lee Mi Joo a girl born on same roof and same day ; usually that would make u sibling/twins ; but their fate i intertwine with love like Sun and Moon ; STARS and NIGHT . Both fell in love with their adulthood despite their mothers objections and secretly dated ; she even supported him during his BAR exams (BAR MEAL LOVE) but broke-up on the day he joins prosecutions
and has to raise her two kids alone
while Kang-ho is on a mysterious path of loneliess.
When all three of them meet the emotions overflow and this has been the best village drama of 2023 so far . If they could have made a decent legal arguments with more concrete and believable evidence this show would have been a 💯 but alas it cannot still this is a good show as the legal nonsense is only about 30mins in the entire show .
I would recommend everyone to give it a try for the pure love of the crime-less village 😉 ; we all know mischevious Sam Sik almost broke the record .
Bit too much at times, but it's thought-provoking when it comes to parent child relationships. The complicated feelings and entagled expectations from both sides are pretty accurately portrayed.
I just finished the first 6 episodes, and it left me feeling scrunched in my stomach.
Im an avid K-drama fan, becouse they all have the fairytale stories, feelgood things, happy endings.
As soon as Netflix produces something, it becomes the part of their worldwide brainwashing:
Recipe:
The main character is a killer, but its OK somehow.
There will be gay/lesbian characters.
No good morals for no one.
Shiro... i hate it.
