Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

When four pet turtles were bathed in alien ooze, they began to mutate and became the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Raised in New York City sewers by their foster father and wise sensei, Master Splinter, Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, and Raphael wage war against crime. Led by Master Splinter, the four turtles learn the ancient martial art of Ninjitsu, mastering skills of stealth, weapons, and fighting. They stop evildoers in all forms, whether barbaric gangs, lowlife crooks, deranged cyborgs, or even the crime syndicate The Foot, led by their archrival, The Shredder.
A great show, reminds me of avatar the last airbender but a step down but still a great show, and if you have watched many other different shows mainly sci fi you will enjoy the many references. Many great standalone episodes and great arcs. Great voice acting. It's not perfect and it has flaws, like hitting some sub par episodes but most tend to be good or decent, and getting back to the main arc is always enjoyable. Backstories are enjoyably fleshed out somewhat but characters behaviors tend to stay the same except some minor excursions which give growth. I dropped the show a few episodes into season 6, they go 100 years into the future and don't use the setting/story to it's potential, not in the slightest, i could tell what kind of season it was going to be and it's not one i wanted to watch. Plus there is an animation and music downgrade. I enjoyed season 1-5 and i am satisfied and feel the end of season 5 was a very satisfying conclusion but not perfect. I recommend 1-5 and go into season 6 and see what you think as it doesn't deviate from the formula too much. I read the plot of season 7 and that didn't interest me so to conclude i thoroughly enjoyed my time with this series, it was a shell of a ride.
Edit: So 2 years later, completed season 6. I was into it from the start of where i left off. Completed season 7
