Thou Shalt Not Steal

On a search for the truth behind a family secret, young Aboriginal Australian delinquent Robyn escapes from juvenile detention and teams up with preacher's son Gidge. Together, they travel to Adelaide seeking answers, while in pursuit are a couple AFP officers, as well as Gidge's father and a madam.
A fun series that owes much to the Coen brothers films in its humorous approach of a road movie with exaggerated characters. But within its irreverent comedy tone, it introduces relevant themes that develop a profound critique of the consequences of European colonization as the origin of white and Christian Australian society. During the journey that the protagonists follow through the desert, they encounter sinister and violent characters, but all within a very funny tone and marked by its amazing ability to construct the interactions of the characters, while the story takes on an increasingly absurd tone as it approaches the outcome.
