The manga has kept me on my toes every chapter. Science Saru has done an amazing job translating it to an anime.
The animation has been impeccable along with the chapters/panels they’re choosing to write about. The OP+ED music is perfect, music used in the episodes… This is my new top 5 anime.
Amazing visual style, wonderful animation, and fantastic characters. An absolute powerhouse of quality from start to finish.
It's going to be difficult waiting for the next episodes. May have to give the manga a go
Feels like a breath of fresh air.
Anime of the year for sure! So full of life and goofy, the main characters are so cute and stupid, they're perfect. Love the tone, the ridiculousness, and the frantic pace.
anime of the year or at least one of the strongest contenders!
The quality is top-notch. It's been a while since I watched anime, and I binged it all in one day. The visual spectacle is breathtaking.
It is so funny, love all about it. Don’t think that all that nudity thing was necessary, but the rest of the anime is super fun, it feels light
Do NOT watch this if you dont have at least 5 other shonen animes under your belt already. You'll be too freaked out to appreciate the brilliant storytelling here.
Quintessential Shonen Anime of all time. It literally has all the shonen tropes with a spinkle of romance on top being portrayed in the most interesting and amazing way possible. I usually hate shonen tropes, but this one was done perfectly. The animation was amazing too. It really brought the manga panels to life without changing the style of the art too much. The only downside is that it ended on a really weird point in the story. Feels like it was just part 1 of season 1. Also, once again, it is NOT BEGINNER FRIENDLY.
What a show! This series has some of my favorite styles of storytelling. This includes things like introducing a new member of Seiko’s household almost every episode. I also like how the “monster” of the week episodes may be episodic or layered throughout a story arc. The inclusion of slapstick sitcom interactions was a great choice as well.
Besides the storytelling, the animation is the next best facet. Like the storytelling, the animation is varied throughout each episode and the series. The use of such variation can make a show extremely convoluted but that’s not the case at all for Dan Da Dan. The only complaint I have is the finale. It was a great mid season episode thrown in at the end. I don’t usually complain about cliffhangers as long as they get me excited for the next season. That being said I still loved this experience.
Dan Da Dan makes you laugh, it makes you cry, it makes you go “wtf.”
Fast, frenetic fun! Complete ADHD anime fuel that is constantly changing gears and never taking itself too seriously. Feels like Kill la Kill with some FLCL and a lot of Mob Psycho 100.
