Netflix has no right to produce shows of this high quality 😡

I have bashed Netflix so many times, but lately I must say that there is severe progress on the quality and the shows. Someone must have hired actual is doing the writing and people are actually watching the show before release it.

Very interesting show, great story telling with narration without overdoing it. Twists and great episodes without make it just for the "fun". I really liked the way the story unfold, it wasn't slow the pace was great and fun to watch.

Its light in the thriller department, but this was a captivating plot, and I became really invested in the characters.

It plays with the tropes of criminal investigation series that take place in a small town, to develop the personal stories of three characters who have different concepts of investigative journalism. Exploring the way in which the outside view can affect the coexistence of a closed community, the series begins as a strange comedy that evolves into a criminal drama in which the description of the environment is more important than the conclusions of the investigation. It is not so interesting because of how it creates a criminal plot, but because of how it constructs what is around it.

Started off a little slow then got better and better - fully hooked by end of episode 3. A lot of the dark humour also started coming in at the same time.

I really enjoyed this... until the final episode where they spend so much time throwing just about anything they could at it to lead up to a typical Hollywood ending.
The second half of the last episode was full of Hollywood cliche scenes and then after the big finale we're left with questions like: What happened the the cop(s)/Interpol people? What happened to Seamus and the baddies? How was everything resolved?
Never mind, we've thought up a smart-ass ending for one of the main characters.. that'll do... just like Hollywood.

Overall I have to drop it from 8.5/10 to 6... lazy writing has consequences.

An interesting story as a Podcaster tries to unravel a 20 year old story.
Bodkin, the Town, has lot's of secrets and some very interesting surprises in store for the Podcast Team! :thumbsup_tone1: Well worth a watch, slow burn with most answer's coming in the last 3 episodes.

Started really slow, then it picked up at the middle and then dropped at the end. Imo, it had one too many episodes. Ep7 not only was boring, but unnecesary since esentially every "mistery" they were investigating was already solved. They could have made Ep6 a bit longer just to tidy up a bit and it would have been tons better. Still without taking count of that, the series is ok, so a modest 6

It's a TV series that forces you to know how it ends, because it's well written and acted. But in the end you realize that it's all about how screwed up people are, in different ways, but really, really screwed up. And frankly there isn't much need for it.

I think last episode completely ruined the whole show. It's just a waste of time. The only good thing is the actress who played Dove
