Perhaps their strikingly different personalities make the relationship between detective Jane Rizzoli and medical examiner Maura Isles so effective. Predictable crime solving aside, Rizzoli And Isles is axed towards friendship and family. The chemistry between Sasha and Angie is palpable, some scenes are very funny, especially the Rizzoli clan ones. There's a distinct feminine feeling to the whole show, be it in writing, scripting, directing and acting.
