Kagome Higurashi is a modern day young girl who lives with her family by the old Higure shrine. Unbeknownst to Kagome, she is the reincarnation of priestess Kikyo and posseses the "Jewel of Four Souls" (the Shikon jewel). One ill-fated day, Kagome locates an ancient well near her home and is abruptly transported through the well and into a feudal Japan, inhabited by demons. There are almost 200 episodes, and the story is repeated several times, Naraku could have appeared much later and the story could have explored other characters/ villains.

Daughter, Janey's favorite when she was young. (Watched it together.)

Her cousins in the Philippines sent her drawings, so that's how she got into it and into drawing. Kindergarten after school program leader for her age group told me she took the initiative to get all her classmates to have a drawing contest and encouraged them all to do their best and practice drawing.
