What’s with me this week? It’s just been sad ending anime thus far: Puella Madoka, Talentless Nana, now this… Might as well watch ef. I first watched Angel Beats subbed when it first released 15 years ago. Today was my second time ever seeing it — this time dubbed. I remembered absolutely nothing from the first watch, but fuck, there were so many tearjerker episodes. 13-14 episodes was a perfect length… but I don’t want to give up these characters. They really made you feel horrible for each one, but especially Yui.

Please don’t ever watch this masterpiece if you’re not prepared to cry.

One of the best, most emotional, finely crafted anime of all time. Something I can recommend to absolutely anybody.

This is one of my favorites animes, this one is pretty good, a lot of comedy, drama, action and music.

Good show but it was WAY too short. This should have been 24 episodes at least in order to really flesh out the other characters and their backstories. Still, it's a great show.

I enjoyed this series a good deal but it was much too short. The premise was interesting despite a bit of a slow feeling start. It just took awhile for the characters to properly explain the mechanics of the world they were in.

The animations and music were well done, not jaw-dropping but good. The story itself had some good points and I didn’t expect the final twist in the last episode. However, the story still felt rushed and I think I would probably enjoy the story better if I read through Key’s visual novel of this story. If I had to guess, the story is probably more fleshed out and better paced.
