The series is much, much better than the 2011 movie by the same name AND you don't have to suffer the incessant whistling.
Thrilling Action Adventure Drama. What drew me to this series was the casting of Mireille Enos of whom I've been a fan since THE KILLING and she does not disappoint. All three leads bring excellent performances with emotional depth. Esme Creed-Miles was a newcomer for me but, as the anchor of the show, she was magnificent. There is a real tenderness to the story (with incidental wit) that equally balance the action adventure. This is shot in beautiful European locations. It was a solid 9 (superb) out of 10 for me from the very beginning. I fully look forward to more seasons and I am going to track down and watch the movie by the same title with Saoirse Ronan. I have a classic sentence. As everything has an end, we have come to the end of this beautiful series. I watched 3 seasons in 3 days without breathing. I was never bored in any season. The acting, the plot were all very, very good. I wish it hadn't finalized, it should have continued. They ended it here. It was clearly one of the best series in this genre that I watched. I don't know if you can believe it, but it's 3 o'clock at night, I just finished the series and I have goosebumps. Thanks to everyone who contributed. They did a great job. HANNA, ERIK and MARISSA were my favorites in all episodes. Thanks again to everyone who contributed. It's great.
This is one of my favourite series and has been so from the first season. (After the first season, I also watched the movie of the same name, starring the extremely talented Saoirse Ronan, and found the two have a very different feel to them and I prefer the series over the movie.) Esme Creed-Miles is exceptional in the titular role (it's hard to believe she was 17 when she took on this role and was merely 20 when the project wrapped). Mereille Enos (who was my original draw to the project as I followed her filmography from her superb performance in THE KILLING) is brilliant as the antagonist (ally?). The writing is tight and the narrative is skillfully woven. There is emotional depth to an otherwise action filled thriller. I love the characters and the performances across the board. I am so sorry to see it end but it was a very fitting conclusion. This is a series I will revisit every couple of year and I highly recommend it and have given it a 10 (excellent) out of 10. Amazon KILLED it once again. Phenomenal season.
Season 1 is really good. 2nd season adds nothing, skip it.
Absolutely fantastic show hope they do a season 2
It was a fun and engaging story that I greatly enjoyed. We essentially watched Hanna flourish and experience different phases of her life, being a "killing machine" along the way. In the end, the last episode gave her a fitting conclusion, allowing her to be free and make choices regarding her own life. I just have to praise Esme and the other cast members from Seasons 1-3 for their compelling performances. It was an awesome ride, and I hope to rewatch this show in the future.
farfetched and sometimes ridiculous and I enjoyed every minute of it.
