Chicago P.D.

I’ve been binge watching this show for a month. A little backstory to my life; I’ve done time in state and federal prison, I’ve also served in the military. I know weapons, tactical procedures and protocols.

This show is by far THE BEST police drama I’ve ever watched. For those looking at it for entertainment, it may be exciting and sometimes emotional, but those who look for the techniques language, and processes, this is a really good show to see that.

When they make entry into a structure, calling out. Their position, radio talk, weapon handling, takedowns... no Kung fu theatrics...

The only thing I hate about the show is I’m nearly finished and there are no more episodes being made.

I shouldn’t have gotten in trouble early on in life, this makes me want to be law enforcement.

Hank Voight has entered the realm of Jack Bauer, John Wick, Leon, Frank Castle, Jason Bourne. He is truly a badass.

I was not interested in a Chicago police drama, but I ran out of programming to watch on my fire stick so I gave CPD a shot. Damn! Voight is a total badass! The whole crew is bad ass!

So much raspiness in their voices! Either they all smoke cigarettes or it’s the Chicago pollution or maybe everybody in Chicago speaks badass, I’m not sure, it the show has the right combination of drama, violence, humor, “oh shit!” moments, and passion. The only thing missing is cursing.

A spin-off that worth as much as the principal show.

I am a sucker for any procedural drama. Is the show morally questionable? YES. But it is a well written, action packed, and an intense show. My guilty pleasure.
