The Passing Bells

The ending was ...cliche.
Overall, a good short series.

I must say this wasn't very engaging. The production itself isn't awful but ultimately it is too short to be of any significance. You put a year of war in each episode - the jumps in the timeline are just too big. There is little to none background info and if you don't know at least the basics about that time you're lost. It would have been tough to tell one story in that short time but here you have two. The view of the British guy and again from the German. And there is little seperation between them, the scenes and events are almost mirrored.

I don't see an epic war drama but one that tries to do to much in too little time.
