The Good Place

I am all in. This is the character Bell is meant to play. I'll be giving it a full season to see how well it develops around her performance. Not perfect but at least its fresh.

The show had its ups and downs through its season, but the final two episodes were game changers and made up for every little bad thing. The show is amazing and can't wait for next season.

This show is pure joy. Last Season is the proof of how this series became more interesting each season. I love every single character and I couldn't ask more. So sad that it ended.

Underrated sitcom that should have earned multiple Emmy’s. Love it.

A trip. Easily one of my favorite comedy shows out there. The cast is wonderful, they have great chemistry that really comes across the screen making the characters even more lovable than they already are. Even the 'bad guys' in this show are worth rooting for because they are all so much fun!
One of the great things about The Good Place is that it is so fast paced. They throw a twist at you and you don't have to wait episodes or seasons for the next bit. [spoiler] Especially with all the reboots. So many reboots! So many times our characters have to learn about each other again but it doesn't get boring or frustrating because they solve it quickly. [/spoiler]
I'm just sad it's over and I won't get to watch it again with the first time watcher experience.

Snappy dialogue and a premise that hits on an existential level. It's best to go into this show with no spoilers, so just take a dive on in.

I got to admit I was sold the minute I realized this if from the guy who also did Nine Nine. Took me a while to hop on board this train but I am not disappointed at all!
I started watching for Kristen Bell but by the third episode I had already fallen deeply in love with all of the cast members and the characters they portray. They're a lovable bunch!
[spoiler] Now, normally I hate the 'memory loss' - or in this case memory reset/reboot - arc but this show managed to make it enjoyable while also doing it over and over and over again! I think what worked here is that while they lose their memory they're always quickly finding each other again and it instantly feels like it doesn't matter if certain aspects are now different. At the core these four people will always find each other in the same way. [/spoiler]

The Good Place is a great show. Well worth watching. There are twists and turns of a major and minor sort but the show had incredible steam through those twists managing to keep a cool head on it's shoulders and still keep fighting even after it's strongest punch. The characters are lovable. Our four primary humans are a small cast but we get to know them well. We get to see them in all sorts of alternate versions as they pretend to be other people and actually become other people. And as much as I like symmetry I like that the show takes a few chances with the balance and doesn't waffle back and forth on it. I didn't approve of all of them but they are consistent and the relationships do feel real even if some of them are unbelievable. The cast is diverse as befitting the theme and the stories are thematic. There's not a lot of variety but there is a central focus. It doesn't meander very much which is awesome. There's very few episodes which one could call filler. Even if there are arcs and entire seasons you might not like.

And last but not least the humor never stops. It's a sitcom about moral philosophy and while that's played for laughs in Season 1, it's still played for laughs in Season 4. Just now with some heart. It's a great show that doesn't stick the landing at the end but had such a strong performance it never needed to.
