Okay, so I'm not usually a period drama person….well, maybe I will be now.

Jenna Coleman is just chef's kiss. She's got this incredible balance of youthful energy and regal poise. You can totally see her grow into the role, both as a person and as a Queen.

And Tom Hughes as Albert? Forget it. Their chemistry is off the charts. You're rooting for them from the jump. Watching their relationship blossom is honestly the best part.

Rufus Sewell as Lord Melbourne is also a total scene-stealer. He's this kind of enigmatic figure, and you're never quite sure where you stand with him (I personally loved him).

The show is gorgeously filmed, with those stunning costumes and sets. It really feels like you're stepping back in time. And the music? Chills.

I know there are some things that aren't 100% historically accurate, but who cares? It's entertaining as hell.

Victoria is a must-watch for anyone who loves a good historical drama (or even if you don't!).

My Rating: 9.5/10

After a very slow start (the first two, pre-Albert episodes were a tough slough) the series has blossomed, and, having just finished episode 7 of 9, I've given it a 9 (superb) out of 10. Jenna Louise Coleman is radiant as she transforms from shy young girl, to feisty young monarch - as the duchess says, "it seems the queen has learned how to get her own way." For Doctor Who fans, there will be no surprise as to what she brings to inhabit a role. Those in the UK are enjoying the series on ITV, and those in North America can look forward to it as a PBS Masterpiece Theatre selection for January.

The second season (or as the Brits say "series 2") of VICTORIA has just begun broadcast in UK (ITV) so I think we can expect it in North America soon. Therefore it is a great time to re-watch season 1. It started out slow, but once Albert enters the drama it is fantastic viewing. Jenna Coleman is superb, which will be no shock to Doctor Who fans. The historical accuracy of a couple of the relationships is a bit dodgy, but the portrayal of the period is transporting. I gave the first season a 9 (fascinating) out of 10.

if I were you I would not miss it, higly recommended for anyone fond of good dramatic movies or tv series. You won’t be disappointed, there’re plentiful of very fine to sublime interpretations, with an splendid Jenna Coleman masterfully performing the role of the wonderful Queen Victoria. But if you happen to love bio or historic novels, it simply is a must see, as it also is the “_The Crown_” which’s also a biography But about Queen Elizabeth’s reign.

i started loving this show, but then season 2 came out and i just realized i was so hyped during all season 1 and now it's a bit disappointing.
I miss Melbourne and i don't like where the story is going (or at least how the writers are taking it).
