This show deserved 20 seasons at least... so much trash being released these days and they cancel this masterpiece after Season 1? No comments.
This is a great sci-fi series that was unfortunately cancelled after the first season, as so many good sci-fi shows are.
Think of it as a low budget Altered Carbon and you’re in the right ball park.
Too bad this series has been cancelled, thoroughly enjoyed season 1.
interesting show, wonder what they are gonna store us with next season
Pretty standard Canadian/SyFy blandness. Storytelling by flashbacks, one of those plots that goes on and on without conclusion. Mediocre acting by the adults and a lack of talent from the children.
Considering the level of futuristic tech in use, it's surprising all that subversive office activity takes place without the presence or concern for CCTV cameras, except when they're suddenly a thing the writers employ for other subplots.
Ideally, it would be fast paced and have some sort of major plot resolution at the end of the season -- like 24, but in 8 episodes. Maybe if there's a 2nd season, they'll try to pick up the pace. Currently, it's more a mashup of borrowed elements from series past.
There will not be a second season. Just got cancelled.
Incorporated (2016) - ❤x6
This is categorized as Science Fiction - however, in 2025 this feels much closer to reality.
It is a sad statement on our society and humanity where this even starts to look like reality rather than simple Science Fiction. If we do not course correct now I weep for future generations.
Sorry - got a little sidetracked.
The show itself is otherwise really good and am sad that it was cancelled. As it is - we only get a partial story - there is absolutely no resolution to the story lines. This needed several seasons to come to a satisfactory conclusion.
So - because of this I have to downgrade my rating.
How I rate:
1-3 ❤ = seriously! don't waste your time
4-6 ❤ = you may or may not enjoy this
7-8 ❤ = I expect you will like this too
9-10 ❤ = movies and TV shows I really love!
Series probably should've been rated TV-MA; at least 5 f-words in the first 2 episodes alone.
I'm pretty sad that this show got cancelled! The story itself is pretty bland. I didn't care too much for it at all. What kept me watching was the world building. The world they built in Incorporated was massive and fascinating and I wanted a second season if only to expand further on the world they've built in this show.
reading the description i was excited because i thought this would draw from the Unincorporated Man book series, but it felt more like someone watched Brazil and thought, "how could i make Brazil, but more serious? i know! i'll produce a show on SyFy!" -- a classic blunder only slightly less well known than not going against a Sicillian.
two episodes in and i am struggling to care about anyone in the show or the story at large. womp womp.
