Is genius the most highly treasured measure of a person's character? Is a TV series good that excels in production, acting, writing, venue, and cinematography, yet disengages the audience from it's subject? I loved the idea of this series, to take a closer look at the life and character of people of genius in their fields, and hastily gave the first episode a 10 (brilliant) out of 10, but as both seasons progressed I was disenchanted by the egotism, self-centred barbarity of the persons featured - to the point that my interest faded and I became uninterested and bored. My rating slid with each successive episode until I abandoned the series after the 5th episode of the 2nd season, when my rating became 5 (meh) out of 10. One viewer spoke of the first season as follows, "If the goal of the maker was to make us all hate Einstein, he has definitely succeeded." I found I felt the same about Picasso. I've abandoned the series and my final rating is 5 (meh) out of 10. Brilliant casting, performances, etc. but disappointing subject. [BioPic Drama]
This show airs on Tuesdays on Nat Geo (in America at least). So why every week does it say episodes air on Sundays?
