Another show where the "main" character (Nate) is my least favourite. I love this. If you enjoy movies like the Italian Job and Oceans 11, this show is for you. Clever, funny and highly entertaining - not to mention that it has a bunch of the funniest, most lovable characters, ever.
Gonna miss it :(
Well, since I didn't rate anywhere near enough episodes of this show to do a proper average, I'll gut-feeling it.
_Leverage_, I award you a solid 9/10 rating.
It's not for the writing. There's lots of corn and cheese, and plenty of plot holes big enough to fly the Spruce Goose through, but the characters are so, so worth it.
No member of the core cast is annoying—already a feat, compared to many long-running ensemble-cast shows. Every single one of the five makes you appreciate their presence. Even when they're pulling off the most bullshit heists, the interpersonal relationships hold the script together and deflect the viewer's attention from whatever plot armor the writers used.
If anything, the one wish I have is that we'd gotten to know Eliot better. Well, and that he hadn't
wound up the odd one out, relationship-wise, since four of the five were paired up by the finale (Parker and Hardison are so adorable)
. Nate's backstory plays a pretty big role in the big-picture arc of the show, and we find out plenty about almost everyone over the five seasons. But I'm left with the feeling that Eliot kind of got the short straw, somehow.
A great series. Can't wait for Leverage Redemption July 2021
i love this show, i rewatch it all the time. it's very procedural but the overarching plotline is wonderful, if you want found family, and chaotic good, and nontoxic masculinity, and punishing capitalists through hijinks this is the show for you. the episode plots might be a little over the top sometimes, but they aren't overly unrealistic, and once you get the formula of the show down you can see where the breadcrumbs have been left for you to see how the ending gets there. it's rewarding to figure out the plots, unlike a lot of mysteries where things happen without you knowing and sidestepping the plot. and the villains always get punished.
every character's individual storyline makes sense and their journeys of growth from strangers to family is so well done and believable and you root for them at every turn.
this is genuinely one of my favorite shows of all time and i highly recommend it. nate's storyline is probably my least favorite and i still love it. totally give this show a chance, you deserve it.
it can currently be watched for free on dean devlin's streaming service electric now AND the show is getting a reboot/new season with most of the original cast and creators soon.
so there's no excuse not to watch it tbh
There is going to be a season 6!!!
If only there were a way to keep watching this! Netflix and Hulu have both dropped it.
Completed all seasons and wish there were more! Seriously a fun to watch show which is funny and made me glued all over! Hope more shows like this were made!
