Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online

Honestly enjoyed GGO when it first came out in 2018 and was hoping for season 2 but it only came around 6 years later.

The characters are fun and the story pulls you into the battles, and the action is nonstop which I enjoy. I understand it's not for everyone but I have genuinely enjoyed it and it's nice to see the ending in Season 2. Not expecting anything from SOA or GGO in the future but hope they make something just as good.

It's not the perfect anime but it is a fun one and I can recommend it.

Outstanding, this one is all about the characters and action. All the characters in this are very unique and unbelievably well fleshed out. The MC LLENN is one of the most affable characters to ever step foot on screen. Shy and withdrawn, it's great to see her fully out of her shell and surrounded by friends, by the end.

Her squad consists of all extremely unique characters, who are all great in their own ways. Fuka, her best friend, is a fantastic contrast to LLENN, and the dynamic and banter between the two is outstanding. Then everything is taken over the top once Pito is added, and the dynamic & contrast between the three somehow gets even better.

I'd highly recommend this show to anyone, and I'll watch as much of it as they put out.

I found that this show was actually fairly decent on its own. It doesn't have over-powered characters (cough-Kirito) and the main character is actually quite like-able and charming. There is a greater degree of character development and I can definitely say I enjoyed it more than SAO seasons 1+2. However, that doesn't mean this has flawed logic and some degree of craziness, this is a video game after all. I'd still recommend this if you aren't looking for a perfect anime.

This story took place between Season 2 and 3 of the main series. Plot seems to be lacking a little but the action scenes were great.
Because of the characters the anime felt like a bit of "Slice of Life" but it turned out to be good in both ways.
Overall it was a decent watch.

In the days of legit shilling even some people who hated SOA would tell you this is _better_.... it's not. I'd argue it's even more offensive.
LLENN is a Mary Sue and just like the main show this is loaded with ass pulls and non-existent logic in it's world... The action scenes are extremely boring to watch and visually dull. Pito is an even worse villain than "I just wanted friends, LOL" guy as she made me want to scratch my eyes out after every dumb line of hers.
