I quite rarely post my opinion on TV show, but this one is a masterpiece! Abolutely stunning actining not only from the lead actors which are beyond amazing! I love the cinematographics I love the acting, I love the dynamic between all characters and I love the fact that all this is based on true story! I don't think that someone else have ever done a better job of recreating the life of a historical persona. The lead character played by Suranne Jones is so captivating - very smart, well educated and brave woman who has been born in time which do not match her unstopable and courageous spirit. If that doesn't make you watch it, I don't know what will

I loved it, such a fun and heartbreaking show at the same time. The main character, Anne, is such an inspiring and exciting person to watch on screen, she's not perfect and will make you hate her sometimes, but in the end it's hard to not be taken by her wit, intelligence, boldness and her big heart.

[HBO Max] Possibly one of the best period dramas, a reconstruction full of irony of the traditional adaptations of Jane Austen that breaks with the genre's schemes offering a modern look at the 19th century, without becoming presentist. Sally Wainwright's perfect script is aware of the limitations faced by characters who nevertheless constantly struggle to overcome them, with energetic and charismatic performances.

Great show! Well acted, directed and the dialogue is excellent. The story is based on a true story and extremely fascinating.
I think they could have tightened the storytelling a bit, but it is although enjoyable and gets you hooked right away.
A loving handiwork all in all; I long for the next season as BBC ordered yet another eight episodes! :smiling_face_with_3_hearts:

Looks pretty interesting. I'm sure it'll have all the lesbian fans flocking to it like Killing Eve.
