Really love this show, my only complaint is that it's too short! I hope the second season is longer. It reminds me very much of my beloved Tales From the Crypt. Love this modern take on horror anthology.
This serie is mandatory ! Let's go..
Creepshow – A Mixed Bag of Gory Nostalgia (7/10)
I started Creepshow because I love anthology horror series, and after Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities, I was craving more. While Creepshow doesn’t quite reach the same level, it definitely hits that nostalgic nerve – think Goosebumps or Tales from the Crypt, just aimed at adults.
Episodes like Within the Walls of Madness (a Lovecraft-inspired nightmare) or Public Television of the Dead (yes, Bob Ross vs. Evil Dead-style demons) are wild and memorable. That said, there are quite a few duds where the writing just doesn’t land.
Still, the show’s charm, fun practical effects, and pulpy comic book vibe kept me coming back, curious what weirdness would come next. It's not groundbreaking, but for fans of short horror stories, it’s a fun watch – just manage your expectations.
Not bad, waiting for a second season of the reboot. 7/10
so bad even TALE FROM THE CRYPT is 30 years old still better than this crap.
The ideas are not so bad but all actors and all looks very cheap
This show is so bad, I believe they killed off the script writers halfway thru! Truly think they should stick to comics if this is the best they can do.
Utter boring garbage. Creepshow (movie) was funny af - and walked a great line between that and horror. This, however, is neither. Idc if effects are bad - I live for stuff like that, stuff like that you could tell the people had FUN making.... And it all is visible on the screen.... as long as it's not over done shitty CGI, it usually doesnt look bad... All i know is, sitting through this first one, both stories were tedious, dragged on forever, and had absolutely no substance to them whatsoever. They weren't fun, or entertaining either
It's like "here's a super tiny idea for something, how far can we drag it out to make an entire half episode!". Who greenlit this?
I'm loathe to give it any more chances - i can tell already how bad this is. Tales of The Crypt was amazing, and it's been decades, this feels like a cheap imitation, but without the comedy & talent.
That show was full of great actors. This.... Idk. How did this get 4 seasons?! People have terrible taste, that's how.
Edit: yep. It's all bad
Loved the first episode.
Each episode contains two tales of the supernatural.
The first was outstanding and brought shades of the original back for 2019.
The second tale was a little less horrific but scary at points nonetheless.
Curious to see where this will go.
That was a great series. Don't come into it expecting state of the art graphics, CGI, etc, but the special effects are still pretty good. What impressed me was the stories and the feel of the great comics that they represent. I grew up reading Warren comics; Creepy, Eerie and Vamperilla in the 60's. This has a real great feel of those comics, just twisted stories of weird stuff. There is nothing ground breaking here, but a nostalgic look and feel of good stories represented like a comic books read, looking forward to season 2. I thought as a whole this is better then the movie from the 80's, 16 stories in 30 minutes or less.
Really? There's people liking this show? It's awful. Poor script, bad actors, dumb stories.
