Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki

Tomozaki is one of the best gamers in Japan, and in his opinion, the game of real life is one of the worst. No clear-cut rules for success, horribly balanced, and nothing makes sense. But then he meets a gamer who’s just as good as him, and she offers to teach him a few exploits…

Solid series exploring Tomozaki's journey of social improvement, and building human connections. Also I liked Tomo's struggle with sincerity, and not being genuine with the relaitonships he's building, and the masks he puts on to better himself at first, im glad he's now workign towards imrpoving himself without comprosing what he really wants, his sincerity. Aoi is also a prettty great character, who herslef has always been putting up masks so she could be number one in life, with her good greads, popualrity, etc, but thats left her with not really doing what she wants in life, just controlling a character instead. Mizusawa was a really good character, I like how he tore down the masks he's been putting up and is now working towards getting what he wants. Mimimi had a great arc explroign how she felt inferior to Aoi, constantly coming in second place to her, and because of her obession with beating her Mimimi didnt realyl realize how special she was, almost causign her to leave the track team since Aoi was in it, and Mimimi was starting to hate who she was becoming when she was around her, thinking vbadly about both herslef and Aoi, im glad Tama reassured Mimimi how great she was, adn that Mimimi didnt need to be so obsessed with surpassing Aoi. Kakuchi is greta person for Tomozaki, im glad Tomozaki has another person who appreciates the genuine him.

This show was more like a "personality development training" type than a "romantic comedy" type anime. The plot was decent but every scenario is a little too straightforward with no eventful elements.
Overall this was decent enough that I didn't got too bored watching it.

Welcome to my rant of the title:

I know some people might want to gamify their tasks. That's absolutely okay, however, I will extremely disagree if someone gives you tasks as a "missions" and awaiting for the positive result in the end. Unless they're educator, I really think that the one who gives the tasks as a master of bad stuff.

Next, first half of S1 isn't that bad, the rest feels extremely difficult to enjoy. Not only they talk much, slow progression, and too much drama (especially in S2), yeah.... its not for me. I tried S2 as redemption arc for the title, but it didn't help much.

The character themselves are also bit too plain for the plot progression. Sure, Tomozaki does have some complexes (iirc) and wanted to socialize with anyone, but that's the only thing that uniquely progressing alongside the story. The rest? Still walking in the same place, although they did move a centi away from start point.

Final words:
Bro, I don't need extremely weird real life-like drama in a fiction. I just need better plot that even side chara have good developments, even if it's weird and not real. 💀
