this really is a fantastic show. no romantic tension to take away from the story. it's just a good time.
Loved it so much more than I thought I would!
The underlying premise is not unique, in the sense that there are two detectives who grow together from a quirky and unlikely duo to a highly beloved and dynamic pair. However, the writing is fantastic and the crimes in each episode are always intriguing, detailed, and fairly unique. The show is sprinkled with a lot of comedy but none of it is forced, it flows very naturally and the witty dialogue is surprisingly much funnier and more pleasant than you might expect.
This show is perfect if you like murder mysteries and appreciate banter/satirical humour.
You've mixed up episodes of seasons 2 and 3
Not funny not amusing but obviously trying to be. Tedious l. Gave up after 45 minutes.
Classic concept (Odd couple cop pairing), but with fantastic scripting. Great leads, great guest casts. Jason Watkins fantastic as ever. Tala Gouveia is a revelation. Hopefully, we'll get more than two episodes.
Also, it'll be free of any of that tired will-they-won't-they nonsense at least.
Really good show, Jason Watkins is always good.
